Steel City FC to join USL League Two and W League in 2025

Pittsburgh, Pa. & Tampa, Fla. – The United Soccer League announced today that Steel City FC will join both the USL W League and USL League Two beginning in 2025.

Steel City was formed in 2021 as a collaboration between youth clubs Pittsburgh Hotspurs and Arsenal FC of Pittsburgh with the goal of creating a clear developmental pathway for local players. Steel City is committed to being a full-service, innovative football club that provides a holistic, player-centered approach in an effort to foster a lifelong passion for the sport alongside pushing players to maximize their individual potential.

Montgomery United FC to join USL League Two in 2025

Montgomery, Ala. & Tampa, Fla. – The United Soccer League announced today that Montgomery United FC will make its debut in USL League Two beginning in the 2025 season.

Montgomery United is the newly established pre-professional soccer component of the YMCA of Greater Montgomery. The program was formed to create an elite pathway for players aspiring to reach the professional level and to unite the community through the beautiful game. The club looks to quickly become an integral part of the Montgomery community and is dedicated to providing high-level soccer to the area.

McKinney Chupacabras to join USL League Two

McKinney, Tx. & Tampa, Fla. – The United Soccer League announced today that the McKinney Chupacabras are set to join USL League Two beginning in the 2025 season.

The McKinney Chupacabras were established in 2024 with a focus on community and opportunity. The club already supports many community events and promotes several local businesses in historic McKinney. In addition to trying to develop players on the pitch, the club seeks to provide growth opportunities for those aspiring for careers in sports management through internships.

GFI to join USL League Two

The Woodlands, Texas, & Tampa, Fla. – The United Soccer League announced today that Global Football Innovation Academy (GFI) will join USL League Two beginning in the 2025 season.

The club was founded in 2023 with the goal of empowering players to reach their full potential both on and off the field by providing them with access to the best resources, facilities, experiences, and support possible. GFI was originally established as a youth club, and is actively expanding to continue to build and provide a development pathway for players in the Houston area.

Santafé Wanderers to join USL League Two in 2025

Kansas City, Ks. & Tampa, Fla. – The United Soccer League announced today that the Santafé Wanderers will join USL League Two beginning in the 2025 season.

The club was originally established in 1995 as Club de Fútbol Chihuahua, but was eventually renamed the Santafé Wanderers when club ownership was transferred from one of the original founders to his son, and current club owner, Lorenzo Cadena Jr. The team’s name comes from the Santa Fe Trail, which connects Missouri to Santa Fe, New Mexico, in honor of the club’s local heritage and cultural ties to Mexico.

City SC to join USL League Two in 2025

Carlsbad, Cal. & Tampa, Fla. – The United Soccer League announced today that City SC will join USL League Two beginning in the 2025 season.

The club was founded in 1981, aiming to ignite a passion for soccer in every player, building great players who are great people, and offering the opportunity to play to those of all ages, levels, and aspirations.

NEFC to join USL League Two in 2025

Mendon, Mass. & Tampa, Fla. – The United Soccer League announced today that New England Fútbol Club (NEFC) will join USL League Two beginning in the 2025 season.

The club was formed in 2009, developing a robust youth soccer setup that spans across New England. The club’s impressiveness isn’t only in its size, but also in its achievements – NEFC has secured 10 national titles across multiple youth and pre-professional leagues and tournaments.

Their mission in League Two is to provide an elite soccer environment for players in the club by providing training, education and competition.

Sunflower State FC to join USL League Two in 2025

Overland Park, Ks. & Tampa, Fla. – The United Soccer League announced today that Sunflower State FC will join USL League Two beginning in the 2025 season.

The club was formed in 2019 with the goal of providing high-level playing opportunities to any and all players who have the passion to play the beautiful game, while simultaneously creating a meaningful impact within players’ lives and in the community through soccer.

Bigfoot FC to join USL League Two and USL W League in 2025

Maple Valley, Wash. & Tampa, Fla. – The United Soccer League announced today that a new club Bigfoot Football Club in Maple Valley, WA will compete in the USL League Two and USL W League beginning in 2025.  

Bigfoot Football Club of Maple Valley is founded by Shawn Norris, the Founder and CEO of West Coast Goalkeeping, America’s largest goalkeeping outfitter. Bigfoot Football Club will be committed to local partnerships within the Maple Valley, bringing elite-level men’s and women’s soccer to the region.

Laredo Heat to join USL League Two in 2025

Laredo, Tx. & Tampa, Fla. – The United Soccer League announced today that Laredo Heat SC will join USL League Two beginning in the 2025 season. The Heat spent 12 seasons in League Two from 2004-15, winning the league title in 2007.

Laredo Heat SC will play their home matches at the club’s new PEG Energy Stadium in Laredo, Texas, as a member of the Lone Star Division.

Springfield FC to join USL League Two in 2025

Springfield, Ill. & Tampa, Fla. – The United Soccer League announced today that Springfield FC will be competing in USL League Two starting in the 2025 season. 

Springfield FC was founded in 2011 with a goal of developing elite soccer players, promoting community involvement, and providing high-quality athletic entertainment. The club aims to build a program that maximizes every player's potential on and off the field, while also creating and maintaining a positive relationship with the Springfield community.

Delaware FC to join USL League Two in 2025

Hockessin, De. & Tampa, Fla. – The United Soccer League announced today that Delaware FC will join USL League Two beginning in the 2025 season.

The club was originally founded in 1989 as Hockessin Soccer Club, but was eventually renamed as Delaware FC, maintaining its mission of providing “soccer for all.” DEFC has been a premier destination for youth development, with a long list of notable alumni that includes USMNT center-back Mark McKenzie. The club has participated in the area’s top tournaments and leagues for the past 15 years.

USL League Two club in Snohomish to kick off in 2025

Snohomish, Wa. & Tampa, Fla. – The United Soccer League announced today that a club based in Snohomish, WA will compete in the USL League Two beginning in 2025. 

Snohomish Youth Soccer was established in the county in the 1970’s, and formed a premier team called Snohomish United in 1989. The club aims to encourage and inspire all players regardless of age and socioeconomic background to develop a love and passion for the sport, and to foster a safe and fulfilling learning environment that allows players to freely express themselves.

Stars FC to join USL League Two in 2025

Phoenix, Az. & Tampa, Fla. – The United Soccer League announced today that Stars FC will join the USL League Two starting in the 2025 season.

The Stars were founded in 2004, with the goal of providing a top-tier soccer program alongside Christian-focused spiritual leadership training. The club will play its home matches in Phoenix, Arizona, as a member of the Southwest Division. They’ll be connected with the CCV Stars youth club, fostering the next generation of Phoenix talent and giving them the opportunity to work toward senior team soccer.
