Last night, Tennessee SC surprised the division front runners, taking a 1-0 lead three minutes into the second half. But with a playoff berth on the line, Asheville was not going to be denied, tying the game, and then scoring two goals in quick succession en route to a 4-2 win. They have three games left to see out a third straight South Central Division title.
2	Des Moines Menace (8-1-0) Next match: @ Peoria City, Wed 7/2, 7:30 p.m.	1 Last Week: 1	Des Moines’ fine form this season helped them be one of the first teams to lock up a playoff spot. Now, all their focus shifts to a monumental clash at Peoria City. With a win, the Menace can clinch the Great Plains Division title. Their defense has been strong all season, but with Peoria having their confidence back, that will be a good test before the post-season.
3	Vermont Green FC (8-0-2) Next match: @ Seacoast United Phantoms, Wed 7/2, 6:00 p.m.	1 Last Week: 4	Vermont Green FC has been leading the pack in the Northeast this year, and another confident and composed performance against NEFC keeps them atop the division. It’s a simple scenario for The Green – win and clinch a playoff spot. Defending League Two champs, Seacoast United Phantoms will have no problem getting up for this one, so expect a good one from New Hampshire.
4	Ballard FC (7-0-3) Next match: vs. Tacoma Stars, Wed 7/2, 7:00 p.m.	1 Last Week: 5	For 78 minutes, Ballard FC’s trip to Lane United FC looked like it was going to be another frustrating result in June for The Bridges. Then the 2023 National Champions came alive, scoring three goals in six minutes, flipping the game on its head, and going home with three points. As it stands, Ballard needs five points to guarantee a spot in the playoffs, and six to lock up the Northwest Division title.
5	Laredo Heat SC (8-1-0) Next match: vs. Twin City Toucans, Thurs 7/3, 8:00 p.m.	1 Last Week: 4	It’s been a lot of anxious waiting for Laredo who hasn’t played for 11 days. But there’s a lot to be excited about for the Heat as three points tomorrow night will lock up the Lonestar Division and officially book their ticket to the postseason.
6	FC Motown STA (8-0-1) Next match: @ Westchester Flames, Wed 7/2, 8:00 p.m.	3 Last Week: 9	FC Motown STA continued their winning ways in the last week, earning six more points against New Jersey rivals Morris Elite and Ironbound. With League Two Player of the Month for June Maurice Williams in their squad, they look like a dangerous sight for the rest of the Eastern Conference. Three points in Westchester tonight officially books Motown’s ticket to the playoffs.
7	Western Mass Pioneers (8-1-2) Next match: vs. Albany Rush, Wed 7/2 7:30 p.m.	1 Last Week: 8	Western Mass picked up six points in the last week, keeping the pressure on Vermont Green FC for the division title. Just like their rivals to the north, a win clinches a playoff berth. Getting that wrapped up quickly will be beneficial for the Pioneers with their match against Vermont on the horizon.
8	Sarasota Paradise (7-1-1) Next match: @ St. Petersburg FC, Wed 7/2, 7:00 p.m.	2 Last Week: 10	Sarasota kept the good vibes high in paradise with another shutout victory, their third in a row, beating Weston FC 3-0. Tonight is the biggest clash of the season in the South Florida Division, with the two top teams going head-to-head. A win for either team will not clinch anything but will put the race for the division in their control.
9	St. Petersburg FC (7-1-1) Next match: vs. Sarasota Paradise, Wed, 7/2 7:00 p.m.		St. Petersburg FC has been cruising lately, extending their winning streak to five after a 3-1 victory at Miami AC. They’ll look for big performances tonight against Sarasota Paradise from their frontmen, Rodrigo Lopes, who was named to the League Two Team of the Month for June, and Alejandro Zuniga. The home crowd will play a big role in their final stretch, with their last four games coming at home.
10	Salem City FC (6-0-3) Next match: @ Wake FC, Wed 7/2, 7:00 p.m.	7 Last Week: 17	Salem City FC has had their slip ups this season, but in the biggest games, they’ve shown up. They did so again, beating Charlotte Independence II for the second time this season, putting them in pole position for the South Atlantic crown. Three road games to close out the regular season will test them as they aim to finish without a loss.
11	Northern Virginia (7-0-3) Next match: vs. Christos FC, Wed 7/2, 7:30 p.m.	7 Last Week: 18	Northern Virginia FC were made to sweat on Monday night, escaping their game against Virginia Marauders FC with an 89th minute goal for a 3-2 win. They’ll need to be ready for a dogfight as they go head-to-head with their two closest challengers for the Chesapeake Division in their final four matches, with only two teams able to make the playoffs.
12	Peoria City (7-2-0) Next match: vs. Des Moines Menace, Wed 7/2, 7:30 p.m.	Last Week: 12	The former No. 1 team has regained their confidence and looks back on track. No better test for them than a top-of-the-table clash against rivals Des Moines Menace. Djibognihou Koulai has scored four goals in the last two games, so look for the Carps to feed him in the opposing half.
13	Virginia Beach United (8-1-2) Next match: @ Virginia Marauders FC, Wed, 7/2 5:00 p.m.	7 Last Week: 6	Virginia Beach United got some time off to rest before a crucial stretch as they continue to battle for the Chesapeake Division title. They’ve earned shutouts in four of their last five matches and will look to do so again against Virginia Marauders FC, who’ve been shut out five times this season.
14	Ventura County Fusion (6-1-1) Next match: @ FC Tucson, Thurs 7/3, 7:00 p.m.	3 Last Week: 11	Ventura County Fusion thought they were on their way to three points on the road, but Redlands FC scored twice in three minutes, eventually securing a 2-2 draw. The defending Southwest Division champs are going to be put to the test in their final four games to earn a back-to-back title, with three of their opponents firmly in the playoff race. Tomorrow, they’ll travel east to face FC Tucson, a rematch of last year’s Western Conference Semifinal.
15	FC Tucson (6-2-1) Next match: vs. Ventura County Fusion, Thurs 7/3, 7:00 p.m.	2 Last Week: 13	After an out-of-character week, FC Tucson bounced back with a 3-0 win over City SC. As they host Ventura County Fusion, three points are crucial for their desire to win the division crown this year. Tucson has gotten goal contributions from up and down their lineup, but Alexis Ledoux, Jesse Wangusi, and Juan Pablo Sanchez lead the team in goals, so look for them to get involved tomorrow night.
16	Little Rock Rangers (6-1-2) Next match: @ Mississippi Brillia FC, Sat 7/5, 7:00 p.m	2 Last Week: 14	The Little Rock Rangers earned a 3-0 road win over McKinney Chupacabras FC, an important three points for them. Frankly, what was more important was Louisiana Krewe FC dropping points at home, tying them up again in the Mid South Division table. It’s a race to the finish line for the automatic playoff spot, and Little Rock has one game at home while their rivals will be doing it all on the road.
17	Lionsbridge FC (7-1-3) Next match: vs. Annapolis Blues FC, Thurs 7/3, 7:00 p.m	3 Last Week: 20	Two shutout victories in the last week left Lionsbridge FC feeling good heading into the home stretch. In their next two games it’ll be essential to win, as they face off with Annapolis Blues FC and Nothern Virginia FC who are both very much alive in the playoff race. With all teams on their game, expect the Chesapeake to go down to the final day.
18	Long Island Rough Riders (7-1-1) Next match: @ Staten Island ASC, Sat 7/5, 7:00 p.m		Long Island has looked its usual dominant self this year as they push for a third consecutive Metropolitan Division title. The Rough Riders earned an important win over Hudson Valley Hammers, who’ve been on their heels in the race for the second automatic playoff spot. Three games on the road to close out the regular season will keep them on their toes before the playoffs.
19	Minneapolis City SC (6-1-2) Next match: @ St. Croix SC, Wed 7/2, 7:00 p.m.		Minneapolis City SC dispatched Rochester FC 2-0, earning their second victory over their state rivals, and putting them in a comfortable spot to make the playoffs. They’re still neck and neck with Sueno FC, who they’ll face off with for their regular season finale.
20	Dothan United (9-2-0) Next match: vs. East ATL, Tues 7/8, 7:30 p.m.		Dothan United looks much stronger than the team that missed out on the playoffs by one spot last year. They confirmed that last night, officially clinching their spot in the postseason with a 3-0 win over East Atlanta FC. They have one more game before knockout play begins.
